The Raider by Yayster The Raider by Yayster
Yes, Indiana Jones is back! :D

I saw Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on opening night, and didn't think much of it :XD: But to its credit, it got me really inspired to draw another Indy-themed picture!

So I watched the entire trilogy over two days and worked hard on this oekaki! When I look at this picture, I like to imagine Indiana Jones exploring a cave and finding all sorts of adventure.

For this I used an applet I have never used before, Chibipaint, which is great, and which I really recommend! :) I also tried to give this a more painterly look as opposed to photorealism.

Medium: Chibipaint Oekaki
Optical Mouse
Reading on timer: 1370 mins

The Raider by *Yayster "is not only a true work of art, but also a wonderful rendition of Indiana Jones. It almost looks like a screencapture of one of the scenes from the movies." ( Suggested by alexandrasalas and Featured by aunjuli )

Wow, that is amazing work, indeed. I love the way you took him as if you yanked him from the movie. This is another jewel. :rose:

You're kidding... you do all this in chatroom painters... and with just a mouse?!?!? It's really hard to believe, but how ever you did it, it's undeniable that you are a pro at it.

I've been using a mouse for years now so I'm used to it :D And sometimes I find that the simplest programs are the best! ^_^

Wow, I gave up on the mouse after I realized how much easier it is with a tablet. But what you do really is proof that it can be done either way.

Hi, I hope you don't mind, but I featured this beauty in my journal: [link]

If you want it removed for any reason, then please let me know.

That film totally nuked the fridge, but your picture is awesome :D

I'm still amazed that you use a mouse and an applet, I wonder what you could achieve with photoshop and a tablet!

Yes it certainly did, IJ4 was rubbish :XD:

I do have Photoshop and I do a lot of my pictures with that, and I also have a tablet but I HATE it - I find it so hard to use and I think a mouse is much better suited for me ^^

Well if it works with you go with it, your art looks amazing so it doesn't look like you need pressure sensitivity or a pen grip to be a fantastic artist!
