Could this be any more of an oekaki?

I got the Friends DVD boxset for my 21st birthday so I decided to draw my favourite character, Chandler aka Matthew Perry :)

I worked on it for a span of four days and it's the biggest realism canvas I have ever used. It was really challenging, especially the texture of the jacket and the shirt (the darn shirt took 5 hours to do alone!!)

This will look better if you view it in low light (natural light will obscure some of the detail in the jacket).

I really, really hope you like it. I haven't worked so hard in a long time and I'm exhausted. Phew! My hand is physically shaking!

Okay, your oekaki realism really astounds me! This is so amazing (even though I'm not that big of a Friends fan :XD: )! What tools do you use because I'm really wanting to try more oekaki realism (though I use ShiPainter). I could probably apply the same thing to ShiPainter anyways. Again, this is so amazing! :heart:

I have never used Shi so I am not sure what the differences are - but on PaintBBS I use watercolour, usually a 2px brush for all the details. :) Which is why it takes so long to do :XD:

I think the main difference is that Shi has multiple layers, which I like because I'm always making mistakes.

Watercolor? That makes sense. I still need to get the hang of that tool. I've just started playing around with it...today...^^;

This is STUNNING. xD I swear I've been a fan of yer art since I saw you on SROA in '04. I LOVE how you draw realism and I'm dazzled by how you do it(by watching yer animations). It's amazing how seemingly easily you pull off the texture and ugh. xD You make reaslism look easy.

I can't wait to see more great work man, I look forward to it. <3

Ok first off realism this great is totally awesome and gaping worthy.
But.
But you do it in Paint BBS of all things. -jaw drops more- I mean...oekaki programs are in the same area as MS Paint, as I see it. Same kinds of tools except online. I mean yes some people are MS Paint gods and some are oekaki gods...but you don't usually see oekaki realism gods. Which, wheather you like it or not, I think you are in that category.
I mean..it looks like a photograph! So much detail and everything is just perfect. I don't even -like- Friends. xD;

Yeah two layers is kinda limiting :XD: Keep practising with watercolour, it's easy when you get the hang of it! :D
