My entry for the Epic Logo Contest. I get too scared to enter such massive contests most of the time, but I thought what the hey, I'll give it a shot.
 I've never designed a logo before so this is a first attempt  The concept I read through the guidelines and tried to follow the same ones for my logo. Retro look - I was inspired by the current dA logo and wanted to try something with that same retro style, but with my own twist. Simplicity - I tried to make a logo which looks good whether it's silhouetted or more detailed. Community - the way the logo is connected, especially the "d" and the "t" of "deviant", is representative of the connective community we have here at dA, which I love so much! All done on Photoshop Elements, optical mouse. Good luck to everybody who enters EDIT: This has been tweaked after some great feedback from fellow deviants. If you have any crit on this, please let me know, as I would love to know how I can improve! |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
